The Julep armchair was designed in 2018 by Swedish architect and designer Jonas Wagell. Widely revered for his modern, minimalist designs, Wagell’s award-winning Stockholm-based studio focuses on furniture design which combines graphic simplicity and playfulness. First debuted at Milan’s world-famous Salone del Mobile show, the Julep collection was an instant success, winning the Muuuz International Award that year, and going on to become a firm favorite in the world of design. Its iconic shape is a reimagining of midcentury modern form, taking cues from the 50s Avant-Garde movement and blending in contemporary flourishes for a design which feels fresh and new.
