    Product Description

A Danish classic since 1936, the Shoemaker Chair is an icon of Nordic design. The seat, carved from a single piece of FTC-Certified Ash wood, is held up by turned legs and a stabilising T connection, creating a harmonious and classically beautiful silhouette from every angle. Whilst this chair may look deceivingly simple, each chair is accurately and thoughtfully constructed to ensure the highest level of comfort.

    Inspired by

    Werner

The design of Werner’s Iconic Shoemaker Chair dates back to 1936 in Odense, Denmark. In the 1970’s the design was acquired by the young cabinet maker, Steen Werner. In 1999, Steen Werner’s son Lars Werner took over, continuing the line of established woodturners for another generation.

Over three generations the family have renewed and finetuned the Shoemaker Chair and reestablished the design to where it is today - a classic with an emphasis on simplicity and timelessness.
