Warren Platner
American designer Warren Platner began working with iconic designers Eero Saarinen and I.M. Pei after graduating from Cornell University School of Architecture in 1941. More than two decades later, Platner opened his own office in New Haven. The location was transformed into a significant studio in which furniture was created, along with textiles and lighting innovations.
In Platner’s words, a ‘classic’ is defined as “something that every time you look at it, you accept it as it is and you see no way of improving it.”
